WALNUT CREEK -- Five people, including a teen girl, were arrested Friday morning thanks to a quick-moving investigation that ended with a traffic stop on Highway 24, police said. Police arrested transient Isaac Melgoza Gomez, 39, and Concord residents Heriberto Hernandez, 18, Juan Franco Perez, 35, and Mario Alberto Pena, 27, all on suspicion of assorted theft charges and conspiracy. They also arrested a 17-year-old girl on suspicion of possessing stolen property and drug paraphernalia. A resident in the 1500 block of Sunnyvale Avenue awoke at 5 a.m. to the sounds of his car starting, and ran outside to see a man later identified as Pena driving away in it, police said. He also spotted two other people since identified as Gomez and Hernandez, running from a neighbor's driveway, dropping a backpack from a vehicle there. Officers arrived and found Hernandez hiding and arrested him. They also impounded Gomez's car, which was found near the scene. About two hours later, an officer saw Gomez in a minivan heading to Interstate 680, called for backup and followed the car to westbound Highway 24 near Pleasant Hill Road. Police stopped the vehicle and arrested Gomez, Pena, Perez and the juvenile suspect. The stolen car that started the whole caper was found later Friday morning abandoned in Concord. The adult suspects were booked into County Jail. The teenage suspect was released to her parents.影视帝国 tomove.com.cnMAP
